HOW MUCH DOES THIS PROGRAM COST?

No need to worry about budgets, our program is presented at zero cost to schools.

WHAT DO YOU BASE YOUR CURRICULUM ON?

Our curriculum has been developed over the past 20 years to meet state health standards, current teen trends, and frequently requested topics. We seek to provide accurate, up to date medical information, and use the CDC as our main resource for statistics presented in the program.

WHAT KY STATE STANDARDS DOES YOUR CURRICULUM COVER?

Our program covers over 20 KY State Standards/Learning Targets. View the complete list HERE.

HOW MANY DAYS DOES THE BRIGHT PRESENTATION LAST?

The number of presentation days depends on the school’s class length. In general, Bright instructors visit a school for four or five consecutive days. Please contact us so we can tailor our program to your school’s schedule and needs.

ARE ALL STUDENTS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN BRIGHT?

No. The program will only be presented in schools where notification letters are sent to parents in advance providing parents the opportunity to “opt out” (request that their child not participate). The school should determine the most effective means of communication with parents.

WHAT TOPICS WILL BE COVERED?

Topics differ depending on the length of the program and age of students, but may include:

  • Goal setting

  • Identifying elements of healthy relationships

  • Biology of sex

  • Sexually Transmitted Diseases

  • Effects of media and technology on relationships (including sexting & pornography)

IS THIS A RELIGIOUS PROGRAM?

No. Bright is a program that uses secular language to reach a wider audience with statistically & objectively accurate content. While Bright is funded and operated by members of a Catholic Christian Organization known as Family Renewal Project, Bright is a program designed for specifically public environments for general health education. Bright seeks to reach all people of all walks of life with a message of friendship, freedom, love, and responsibility.
